Dubai is very expensive and luxurious city in the world where you can every expensive thing be it top notch cars or tech gadgets but let me share How to save money in Dubai as Visitor.
If you are on a visit visa, do following things to save money and enjoy more.
- FREE DU sim at airport
- Metro Card for travel
- At least 1 meal at home
- Eat at Indian restaurants
- Say No to Taxis
- Avoid hospitals (Keep basic medicines with you)
- Shopping Smarter (Do not do Shopping at big malls like Dubai Mall)
Let me explain in details;
FREE DU sim at airport:
Whenever you land at Dubai Airport, go straight to DU at airport and get visitor sim card for FREE from DU and do not recharge it for anything
Use the number for whatsapp and Bottim only, and use whatsapp & bottim when you are at public place or at home/hotel meaning when you have FREE wifi.
Keep all your communications limited to the 2 apps;
1. whatsapp for messages, voice notes & small video clips)
2. Bottim for video/audio calls because WA calls do not work here
Internet is very expensive in Dubai so if you do any package it will drain in hours and you will loose a lot of money.
Metro Card for travel:
Metro card saves you a lot of money when you travel from one place to another, Dubai’s metro is number 1 in the world and covers almost all major areas of the Dubai.
Else local transport is well connected with metro.
Use this app to know more about routes, buses and other travel “S’hail”, it’s FREE and works offline too.
At least 1 meal at home
